It’s been a year since I discovered the 3D virtual worlds. I must thank Halden and the day he came into my office to talk about Second Life (or as we call it now, about “os coisos” LOL
). Yes… a whole year… time flies indeed. It’s been a constant learning in this new world. Each day I found something or someone new to discover, to understand. Many say it’s a game; I don’t share about this opinion… too damn small for this unlimited world. You may use it as a gambling thing… but man… it’s much more than that. Above of all it’s a wonderful environment to communicate, share, work collaboratively, meet new cultures, improve and acquire skills (and I would like to enhance languages). As a simulation of our real world/life (or first life as Cleo was saying lately), we actually can have it all in there. It’s all in our hands, what we do, what we achieve, what we get. Many people start in SL with a purpose and ended doing or finding something completely new and different. Be in this world just for being… for me doesn’t make any sense… means losing the best of it. It’s a rich world that can be reached from any time and space, only trough a single click… how easy can it be? Everybody knows I started in SL for academic/professional reasons. But besides that, I discovered so many other things, so many friends. Good to be there! Thank you all!:D
